Zoe Burke

Succession Planner

Zoe has always had a strong interest in agriculture and completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Sydney University) focusing on animal production in 2003.
In her early career she was in agribusiness banking and then progressed to Rural Financial Counselling and roles with government rural assistance programs, all in Southern Queensland.
Professionally, Zoe has been working with farming families to understand their financial position for the last 20 years.

Personally, growing up Zoe’s parents were in a multi-generational rural family business (which still continues today) and is a partner in a farming business with her husband as a result of a positive family succession experience.
It is no surprise that Zoe finds herself working in this field, where she can lean on her own personal experiences in relating to rural families and helping develop strategies and overcome barriers that will meet everyone’s goals.

Zoe enjoys the people first, strategy second approach of the Proagtive succession planning process as it considers all family members goals and aspirations. Zoe has a strong interest in success and profitability in business and the rural sector, and the people aspect of how this can be achieved.

Currently Zoe resides on a property near Manilla in Northern NSW with her husband and two boys, building up a new farm business using regenerative practices.
She enjoys watching her kids play sports and other outside activities such as fishing, swimming and biking and teaching them about people, money and agriculture.

In her spare time Zoe enjoys investing, gardening, holidaying at the beach, walking and training her dogs and horses.
